If there’s one thing that you can’t beat when you’re campervanning, it’s pitching up at a site which allows you to wake up to a breathtaking view.
Whether you choose to sit back and relax with a cup of coffee in one of the best camping chairs or prefer to enjoy the view from the comfort of your campervan, it’s an unforgettable way to start or end the day.
The good news for those of you who are also fans of stunning vistas is that there are plenty of sites which allow you to pitch up and find yourself perfectly placed for taking in the beauty of nature.
To help you choose from some of the wonderful views provided by campsites, we’re sharing five of our favourites.
Trewethett Farm CAMC Site
Address: Trethevy, Tintagel, Cornwall PL34 0BQ, caravanclub.co.uk

If the best campervan site in Cornwall for you will make it easy to explore Tintagel, this could be the site for you.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club Site at Trewethett Farm provides very easy footpath access to all of the legendary sights of Tintagel, and you will also find the picturesque little harbour of Boscastle nearby if you follow the South West Coast Path north.
However, the big attraction here is the fabulous view from the site over Bossiney Cove’s long sandy beach, which is simply delightful. The beach is covered by the tide at high water and it’s a steep descent, so you might prefer Polzeath, just down the coast.
Ladram Bay
Address: Otterton, Budleigh Salterton, Devon EX9 7BX, ladrambay.co.uk

It’s easy to see why this campsite in Devon is so popular – you couldn’t place a holiday park in a better location, overlooking the glorious Jurassic Coast and with its own beach.
This is very much a resort for the whole family, a place where you can all enjoy the excellent amenities, such as crazy golf, indoor swimming pools, a climbing wall and a superb adventure playground.
If you want to immerse yourself in the views, why not take a dip in the bay or enjoy a spot of kayaking?
Castlerigg Hall
Address: Keswick, Cumbria CA12 4TE, castlerigg.co.uk/the-park
What do you expect to see on any trip to the Lake District? Lakes, of course!
And at Castlerigg Hall, you’re staying slap-bang in the heart of the Lakes, overlooking Derwentwater and five miles to the north-west of Thirlmere. Keswick is less than two miles away.
There are too many local activities to list here, but why not take a walk to the mysterious Castlerigg Stone Circle, thought to date back 2000 years?
The stones overlook Thirlmere Valley, with the mountains of High Seat and Helvellyn as a spectacular backdrop – it’s simply breathtaking!
The Quiet Site
Address: Ullswater, Cumbria CA11 0LS, thequietsite.co.uk

One of the best campervan sites in the Lake District, this delightful site also offers Hobbit Holes, glamping pods and Gingerbread Houses. That shouldn’t take away from the main event, which is, of course, the atmospheric views across Ullswater.
The second largest stretch of water in the Lake District, Ullswater is surrounded by fells and is one of the UK’s most attractive settings. Keen hikers will enjoy the 20-mile trail circling the lake, and in the early morning, when the mist is on the mountain, you’ll see why William Wordsworth said: “I wandered lonely as a cloud…”
Three Cliffs Bay
Address: North Hills Farm, Gower, Swansea SA3 2HB, threecliffsbay.com

We will never tire of celebrating the beauty of the Gower, in South Wales! The vast golden beaches are a huge attraction, yet never seem crowded.
Among the best is Three Cliffs Bay, a sandy beach backed by limestone cliffs. You can cut under the cliffs via an arch, or walk across them to the ruins of Pennard Castle. Down below, the Pennard Pill stream weaves its way towards the sea.
Even better is the location of Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park, where the cliffside pitches overlook the beach.
