1. Isabella Compressor cool box

Heading off for a weekend escape, road trip or camping adventure? Having the best cool box for a campervan could come in very handy, and if you’re in need of some extra chilling space, this tough, 40-litre compressor cool box might be your ideal travel mate.

This useful piece of motorhome tech chills food and drinks quickly and quietly (≤38dB), keeping everything refreshingly cool wherever you go.

3. Avtex 12v TV with Freely

Avtex’s new 12V SmartPRO TV range is currently the only one with built-in Freely, which we reckon makes it a bit of a game-changer who are after the best 12V motorhome TV.

Specifically designed for life on the road, Freely gives you instant, free access to live and on-demand TV from BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, via Wi-Fi – no aerial or dish required. You can also log into your home streaming services, such as Netflix and Amazon.

The SmartPRO runs on 12V or 240V power, with an intelligent power supply and an on-screen battery monitor to protect your leisure battery. 4. Falcon Technology 5G portable router (eSIM compatible)

The new-for-2026 5G portable router from Falcon is built with campervan users and motorhomers in mind. This super-fast unlocked unit supports both nano-SIM and eSIM profiles, meaning you’re free to pick the best data plan without being tied in so you can get effective motorhome Wi-Fi.

The Microlino EV microcar
The Microlino EV microcar

6. Microlino EV microcar

Titchy Microlino is a retro-styled electric microcar that channels the spirit of the iconic Isetta, while offering modern EV tech.

It weighs around 496kg, measures just 2.52m long and 1.47m wide, and uses 50% fewer parts than a conventional car. All that makes it an ideal choice for those who are thinking of towing a car with a motorhome and want the convenience of taking a small car on their travels.

Power comes via its rear-mounted 12.5kW motor, and battery choices range from 5.5 to 14kWh, delivering ranges of 34 to 114 miles.

Charging a Microlino is easy, and a domestic socket gets you a full charge in three to four hours.

It seats two with ease (I’m 6’2” and XL), offers a 230-litre boot and a sunroof, and its huge front-opening door makes accessing and exiting the Microlino super-easy.

Towing is simple, on a bespoke trailer, and once ‘unleashed’, it promises to give you nimble, fun, emission-free mobility around campsite or town. Plus, everyone will love you!

The Vango Palma 260
The Vango Palma 260

7. Vango Dynamic Weave fabric

Vango’s innovative new Dynamic Weave 100 fabric is a clever material that’s designed to combine strength and light weight.

These qualities make it ideal for awnings and tents for ‘weekend warriors’, and those taking extended motorhome breaks.

Dynamic Weave uses a cross-hatch of 70D and 100D fibres, which gives it a high strength-to-weight ratio. As a result it’s strong enough to handle rough weather yet remains light enough to pack away and transport easily.

Compared with standard tent fabrics, Dynamic Weave is up to 23% stronger and 13% more tear-resistant – that means it should shrug off those gusty nights and the odd guy-rope trip!

It’s also impressively UV-resistant – four times better than the BSI minimum – and offers waterproof protection up to 4000mm.

The result is a fabric that should last longer, look better and perform well in all conditions.

A Roamer lithium battery

8. Roamer lithium leisure batteries

The best leisure battery for a campervan can be a crucial part of an enjoyable tour, and if you went to the NEC looking for one, Roamer’s new LiFePO4 lithium leisure batteries undoubtedly caught your eye. Its SMART5 range is built around Grade A+ matched cells, offering high energy density, compact design and full 100% usable capacity.

A 300A continuous battery management system (BMS) with active cell balancing, surge protection, low-temperature charging and Bluetooth/CANbus monitoring should keep each pack safe and optimised.

What’s more, Roamer’s modular, serviceable construction, with steel brackets, screw-fastened cases and replaceable internals, means you can repair or upgrade parts easily.

These batteries are ‘drop-in’ upgrades: compatible with existing charger set-ups (such as Sargent and CBE), so you don’t need a full rewiring.

The batteries are also backed by a 12-year warranty, full UK support, and certification (including ECE R-10) for motorhome use.

Here’s one of the more unusual products that was on display at the NEC – we reckon that the Pioneer SXT-C10PS represents the ideal blend of classic style and modern technology, for those who love a touch of retro charm in their motorhome.

This unit is perfect for replacing an old-fashioned stereo head unit, for one with the latest bells and whistles. Behind its vintage cassette-style fascia hides a host of up-to-date features, including Bluetooth streaming, hands-free calling, USB and AUX inputs, plus DAB+ digital radio.

The 1-DIN unit fits easily into most motorhomes, and offers excellent sound control through a multi-band equaliser, time alignment and high- and low-pass filters. There’s also adjustable RGB illumination to match your interior lighting.

Isabella ISACOOL
Isabella ISACOOL

10. Isabella ISACOOL air-conditioning unit

We think the Isabella ISACOOL air conditioning system ticks all the boxes for the touring lifestyle, whether you’re a campervan or motorhome owner. This motorhome tech is designed for roof-mounted installation on vehicles, delivering both cooling and heat-pump heating, so you’re comfortable whether it’s a sweltering summer day or a chilly winter night.

ISACOOL handles ambient temperatures from -50C right through to +500C, giving you true all-season climate control.

With a quiet compressor (59-64dB) and lightweight build (just 33kg externally), it’s well-suited to roof panels between 23 and 55mm thick.

Control is via wireless remote or the HeroCamper AC smartphone app, letting you adjust modes, set timers and switch between 0C and 0F.

The ISACOOL breathes fresh air too, with a dedicated intake and it features an LED-lit control panel, making it a smart upgrade for touring comfort.

The Truma bespoke motorhome control panel

11. Truma bespoke motorhome control panel

Truma has been working with WildAx motorhomes to develop a bespoke version of its iNet X System, an integrated control panel that commands all the vehicle’s essential habitation functions. This can include (depending on spec) heating and air conditioning, lights, water pumps and timers. The handy motorhome tech also displays temperatures, battery status, tank levels and all those other essential services.

The result is a consistent and perfectly-coordinated range of motorhome systems. The new system is designed to be easier to fit, maintain and use, and in the WildAx Equinox (which also debuted at the Motorhome and Caravan Sh0w), it’s integrated with Truma’s RVcore 12V distribution unit.

VB SemiAir Active Damping Suspension
The VB SemiAir Active Damping Suspension

12. VB’s Comfort & Handling Pack

VB’s ‘Comfort & Handling Pack’ unites its VB-SemiAir auxiliary air suspension with four-corner active damping to create a clever and useful suspension/damping upgrade. This modification is designed to transform ride comfort and control for motorhomes and campervans.

It works alongside the vehicle’s existing leaf springs, using air bellows between the chassis and rear axle to fine-tune support and balance. The dual-chamber set-up allows each side to be adjusted independently, so you can level the vehicle left-to-right as well as front-to-back, even when loads are uneven.

VB’s Active Damping technology continuously adapts the damping response to road conditions, improving stability, reducing roll and softening harsh bumps. The system helps to prevent sagging at the rear and restores suspension travel for greater comfort while also protecting the chassis.

Controlled via an in-cab unit, it’s easy to inflate or deflate, giving smoother handling, better ground clearance and a more refined drive.

Several major motorhome brands already use VB SemiAir, and the system is also available for retro-fitting.

Price: £3750-£4795 (inc VAT & installation) at vbairsuspension.com

I also took a look at motorhome self-levelling systems recently; they’re an upgrade which will make pitching up on-site and achieving a level ‘van a whole lot easier.
