These were quite possibly the most eye-catching campervans at the Motorhome and Caravan Show

The eye-catching Laika Kosmo 60 Supremos provided plenty of colourful style to the Motorhome and Caravan Show last week.

The event, held at the NEC from 14th to 19th October, gives visitors on the hunt for the best campervans a great opportunity to browse the latest releases from the leading converters and manufacturers. One stand which would be sure to catch the attention was Laika’s, where the colourful exteriors and interiors of the new Kosmos stood out.

The three models from the Supremo range were all on display, with the ‘vans, which have an OTR price of £71,800, coming on a Fiat Ducato base vehicle, considered one of the best vans for converting to a camper.

Visitors got to see the three interior styles; Azzurro Capri, with orange “Noto” eco-leather, Verde Mugello, with “Matera” cognac coloured-eco-leather, and finally, Arancio Sicilia, with a white “Carrara” eco-leather.

The three campervans are all 5.99m long and 2.05m wide, and have an MTPLM of 3500kg, so there will be no need to worry about what driving licence you need to drive the campervan.

All three models in the range come with 18-inch alloys and a 180bhp engine as standard, as well as a 6kW Truma Combi diesel heating system.

A range of features come in the cab too, including a rear-view camera and adaptive cruise control, while the campervans also have a multimedia system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

The kitchen provides a two-burner hob, while the washroom has a partition which can be swung out to reveal the shower.

While a two berth as standard, thanks to a rear bed, there is the option of adding a double roof bed and a dinette bed to potentially increase it to a five berth ‘van.

Other brands that were exhibiting campervans at the NEC last week included Knaus, which had its innovative BoxTime making its UK debut, which has been designed to offer more space and payload.

Also showcasing a new model was Rapido, which had the campervan we named “one of the top vans” at Caravan Salon on its stand. The V62 impressed with how it offers the interior of a low-profile, despite being a campervan.
