The Bürstner Habiton HMX 6.1 has made its debut at the Motorhome and Caravan Show this week.
We previously rated the Habiton range highly when we saw it last season, naming the Habiton HMX 6.0 the best 2 berth campervan with a shower and toilet at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2026 and we were also fans of the Habiton 6 when we reviewed it.
However, for the four-wheel-drive Habiton HMX 6.1, Bürstner has removed the sliding washroom and is instead providing a washroom with a fold-out basin and two showerheads, one of which can usefully be used outside. When it comes to the campervan toilet, the ‘van has a Porta Potti as standard, but a Clesana Mobile Sealing Toilet is an optional extra (£940).

A C1 licence will be required, due to an MTPLM of 4100kg. The ‘van comes with 16″ steel rims with studded tyres and a Timberline 1.0 diesel hybrid heater, as well as a 3.25m awning.
The HMX 6.1, which is 5.93m x 2.08m, comes with a lounge at the front, where a fold-out seat cushion can be found. As a cost-option, some handy storage drawers can be added at the rear of the ‘van beneath the transverse bed (£1,590) to improve the campervan storage options.

A useful feature is that the transverse bed can be folded up to give you access to a large extra work space when you’re cooking, while the ‘van also comes with a 90-litre drawer fridge and an induction hob.

Its spec includes ambient and LED lighting, 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission, a 2000W inverter, and two 150Ah lithium batteries. However, for those who want a gas-free campervan, there is the Gas free pack Advanced (£3,980), which comes with a 3,600w inverter, a 540Ah lithium battery, and 70A charging booster.
While a two-berth as standard, it can have up to five berths, including an optional heated pop-up roof (£5,810), with the further option of transforming the dinette into an extra berth (£410).
Prices start from £102,995 for the Mercedes-based ‘van.
Bürstner is not the only brand to be showcasing new vehicles at the show, as Auto-Trail has launched its Adventure Coachbuilt line-up at the NEC this week. Three of the four models can be seen on display and they all come with an overcab and four berths.
