The Swift Trekker motorhome range launched at the start of the 2026 season. The three-model line-up is designed for more adventurous touring, and comes on a Ford Transit base vehicle with a Ford Trail bumper and grille.
The introduction of these low-profiles meant the rugged looks seen in the campervan line-up of the same name (which includes models such as the Trekker X) would now be available to fans of coachbuilt motorhomes. It’s already proved an impressive debut season too, as we rated each model highly at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2026, with the 540 named the best 4 berth motorhome, while both the 584 and the 594 were highly commended contenders in another category apiece.
The motorhomes all come with four berths and four belts, as well as a range of useful features including Truma CombiNeo, a 120w solar panel, a rear reversing camera, and a heated rear garage.

That’s not all, with a 2.0-litre, 165bhp engine with eight-speed automatic transmission, 16″ motorhome alloy wheels, Goodyear all-weather tyres, an external BBQ point and cold water shower point, and bike rack fixing rails also among the spec to be provided.
Each ‘van comes with a front lounge with parallel settees, with fold-down Aguti travel seats found here too. It is here that two of the motorhome’s berths are made up. The upholstery is a charcoal grey, but the scatter cushions add a pop of colour to brighten the interior.

The kitchens are well-equipped for cooking too, providing a three-burner gas hob with an electric hot-plate, a Thetford oven and grill, a 133-litre slimline Dometic fridge with a freezer compartment, and a useful worktop extension if you need extra space.

Usefully, each model has an MTPLM of 3500kg, so no need to worry about which motorhome driving licence you need for them.
The three ‘vans all have a good washroom, but the exact layout will differ depending on the model you opt for, as we explain later. However, every motorhome in the Trekker line-up comes with a shower cubicle, complete with an Ecocamel Jetstorm showerhead, and useful coat hooks and a hanging rail. The washroom also has a level floor, a Thetford cassette toilet, and some stylish washroom fittings.
Another difference will be the final two berths, with the 540, notably having an electrically operated drop-down bed over the lounge, while the 584 is a motorhome with fixed single beds, and the 594 provides an island bed.
There are also a few optional motorhome upgrades to choose from with motorhomers able to opt for a flatbed microwave oven, a detachable towbar, a Thule roll-out awning, and a Thule Elite G2 two cycle rack if they so desire.
The Trekker motorhome range:

Swift Trekker 540
- Price: £80,890
- Travel seats: 4
- Berths: 4
- MTPLM: 3500kg
- MiRO: 3012kg
- Payload: 488kg
- Length: 7.01m
- Width: 2.37m
The Trekker 540 is the shortest motorhome in the line-up, yet still comes in at 7.01m. It is the only model in the range to not have a fixed bed at the rear of the motorhome, instead coming with a spacious end washroom with a tambour door. Inside, it features its own shower cubicle, a large wardrobe, and internal access to the garage.

The final two berths are found in an electrically operated drop-down bed, which measures 6’2″ x 4’11” and is found above the make-up bed in the lounge.

Swift Trekker 584
- Price: £81,790
- Travel seats: 4
- Berths: 4
- MTPLM: 3500kg
- MiRO: 3083kg
- Payload: 417kg
- Length: 7.85m
- Width: 2.37m
Instead of having a rear washroom, the 584 comes with fixed single beds at the back of the motorhome, measuring 6’5″ x 2’7″ each, and there is the option of turning this into a larger “almost double” bed if you so desire.

In front of this, the motorhome features a well-lit central washroom next to the kitchen.

Swift Trekker 594
- Price: £82,390
- Travel seats: 4
- Berths: 4
- MTPLM: 3500kg
- MiRO: 3102kg
- Payload: 398kg
- Length: 7.85m
- Width: 2.37m
For fans of island bed motorhomes, the Trekker 594 is likely to be the most appealing option in the range.

Like the 584, it comes with a central washroom next to the kitchen, but then provides a rear island bed measuring 6’0″ x 4’8″. There are some useful overhead lockers over the bed, a wardrobe on either side, and generously-sized bedside tables too.
Don’t miss what we had to say about another line-up which launched this season, the Bailey Endurance range. The rugged campervans come on a ‘Grey Matter’ Ford Transit Trail base vehicle and are designed for off-grid adventures.
