I really like Black Friday – it’s a fantastic excuse to have a browse, whether there’s something that you’ve got your eye on, or just want to have a look for bargains on items you never knew you needed. I also bought my own campervan earlier in the year, so I’m always on the lookout for great gadgets and bits of kit to make my tours the best they possibly can be.
There are a lot of deals out there this Black Friday, though, so I’ve made a note of some of the best that I’ve spotted while I’ve been looking, to help you sort the must-buys from the must-nots – here are eight of the products that I think every motorhomer will love.
I’ve also checked prices with the Keepa online tool, to make sure that you’re actually getting a bargain – all items featured here are reduced over their recent price tags, and in some cases are the lowest price that they’ve ever been on Amazon.

Seat Stretch Cover From £11.88 Now from £10.99 (save 15% on Amazon)
Keeping your vehicle’s sofa seats clean and tidy can be a bit tricky – and if you’ve got a secondhand motorhome, as I have, then you might find that the upholstery is slightly worn through use. That’s why I think these covers are such a fantastic idea. They come in a good range of colours and sizes; simply select the most appropriate for each seat, then stretch them over for a whole new look. Elasticated straps should help to keep them nice and secure, and they’re easy to remove for washing, too. Clever stuff!

Chefman 2L Mini Air Fryer was £49.99 Now £34.99 (save 30% on Amazon)
Taking an air fryer away with me on tour in my campervan proved to be a bit of a revelation – as long as you have access to some form of electricity (from main hook-up or a power station such as this Jackery, which is also on Black Friday sale), it’s possible to cook meals much more quickly and efficiently than in your motorhome’s oven. You’ll want something reasonably low wattage, so this 900W Chefman 2L Mini Air Fryer looks ideal – it’s compact, and its current price is the lowest that it’s ever been, too.

AUTO-VOX Solar Magnetic Wireless Reversing Camera Kit was £139.99 Now £113.99 (save 19% on Amazon)
A reversing camera is a really useful piece of kit to have when you’re driving a motorhome/towing a tourer, so I like the look of this unit which is on sale this Black Friday. It claims to be simple to install, with no wires or drilling required, and the camera itself is powered by solar, so there’s no need to keep recharging it. User reviews claim that the picture generated is very clear, and that set up is very easy – I reckon it’s definitely worth a look if you’re in the market for a reasonably priced reversing camera.

Blukar LED Torch Rechargeable was £30.99 Now £15.99 (save 48% on Amazon)
I’ve been looking for a new torch to take on tours for some time now, so this is a very tempting deal, and this is the lowest price it’s been at for almost two years. The Blukar LED torch promises to deliver ultra-powerful illumination and has a 5000mAh battery for a decent length of run-time. It can be recharged in six hours, and can also run on AAA batteries (included). It’s waterproof and made of aluminium alloy, and comes in a neat case with a charging cable.

Maypole 8A 12V Electronic Smart Car Battery Charger was £39.99 Now £33.99 (save 15% on Amazon)
Winter can play havoc with your motorhome’s battery, so it’s always a good idea to carry a gadget that will allow you to check on its condition. I spotted this one from well-known brand Maypole on sale during Black Friday, at the joint-lowest price it’s been all year, which looks like it might be a good buy. It will work with vehicles up to 5000cc and a battery capacity of 1.2Ah-192Ah; the unit will read the battery’s condition and voltage before charging and reconditioning it.

Jackery Explorer 240 v2 was £259 Now £151 (save 42% on Amazon)
I have a larger version of this portable power station, and I really love it – it’s fantastic for taking on tour to charge gadgets. This 256Wh model is smaller in capacity than mine, but still looks like a good bargain this Black Friday weekend – it’s the lowest price it’s ever been on Amazon, too.
As well as a 300W AC socket there are USB-A and two USB-C ports, as well as a 12V DC socket, which should allow you to charge up to five gadgets at one time. These Jackery units are quiet to run, and I think make an excellent buy if you enjoy going off-grid.

WOLF SHIELD Carbon Monoxide Detector was £19.49 Now £16.57 (save 15% on Amazon)
Every motorhome should have a carbon monoxide detector, and this one that I’ve found on Amazon Black Friday sale looks like good value. It’s just 7cm square and weighs just 77g, so won’t take up valuable space or payload, yet promises to deliver a loud alarm and flash a trio of LED lights in the event that it detects carbon monoxide. It has a test/mute button so you can regularly ensure its operation, and I also like the clear screen that shows clearly displays carbon monoxide levels.

Straame Levelling Ramps was £25.99 Now £22.09 (save 15% on Amazon)
I also need a new set of levelling ramps, so I’m really tempted by this pack of two, which look great value – this is the cheapest price they’ve been on Amazon. They’re a decent length, at 56.5cm long, so there’s plenty of room when you drive onto them; yet they weigh just 1.3kg each, making them easy to lift up and move around. I also like the fact that they offer three tiers of height, up to a total of 10cm, making getting your motorhome level that much easier.
